The city of Hendersonville is fairly small. The city is named after 19th-century North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Leonard Henderson. It was once known as the “The City of Four Seasons” and is retiree friendly. Hendersonville is home to several historical sites, and the architecture is mainly from the 19th and 20th century. There are plenty of shops and boutiques for a night out in town. The largest street festival of the Hendersonville calendar is the annual North Carolina Apple Festival.
